White Pines Victorian Lodge
|
|
~ ~ ~ ~ All guest rooms have separate tiled bath, gas fireplace, air conditioning, cable TV, and private entrance. There are no flowered wallpapers or fabrics anywhere in our guest rooms -- in fact, you are more likely to find a fishing rod or wading boots in them! Special
discounts available for stays of 3 nights or more...and for women,
seniors, and groups of up to 8 for art, writing, sewing/quilting
workshops,
seminars, and other gatherings. We are proud to be Door
County's only member of the Green Hotels Association for our 5th
consecutive year(see link below), and to be certified green by Travel
Green Wisconsin,
dedicated to conserving & protecting Earth's environment and
nonrenewable natural
resources and to reducing their massive over-use by the hospitaly
industry. All cleaning and laudry is done with organic/natural,
non-chemical, non-scented, safe materials. Linens and fabric
furnishings are all cotton and other natural fibers, and no herbicides,
pesticides, fertilizers or other chemicals are used indoors or outdoors
here. White Pines Victorian Lodge is MCS safe; we maintain our no
chemicals policy fervently. All guests must agree not to bring
along, wear, or use any toxic, chemically-scented perfumes, colognes,
hairsprays, fabric softeners, candles, detergents or other scented
products
while staying here...for the sake of all who care about their health
and to encourage others to join our efforts in helping make the air
safe in Door County's restaurants, museums, theatres, and other public
places. If you can smell it, it can not be used or worn
here. Guests who smoke may do so outdoors.
This is a unique kind of lodging many people have never experienced and that more and more people are searching for and requiring now days. We hope you will enjoy your stay and consider becoming green at home after you've experienced it here! |
